    $3,000 Scholarships Available to Northwestern's Master of Science in Energy & Sustainability Program; Free Information Session on March 11

    Northwestern's Master of Science in Energy & Sustainability Program: 2025-2026 Cohort

    For a limited time, Northwestern University is offering $3,000 scholarships for its Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability (MSES) program to those who have at least three years of work experience.

    Northwestern's MSES program is a 10-month, cohort-based program that combines academic rigor with real-world experience. This program prepares students for leadership roles at the complex intersection of technology, business, and public policy in energy and sustainability.

    Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026-2027 cohort that begins in September 2026. You can view the application deadlines here and download a free program information packet here.

    Free eCornell Certificate: “Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy”

    Free eCornell certificate: Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy

    250 New York State residents can receive free tuition, courtesy of the Climate Jobs Institute (CJI), for the online eCornell certificate: Climate Jobs: Building an Equitable, Resilient Clean Energy Economy.

    This eight-week, online course provides an overview of the climate jobs approach to climate action. This framework emphasizes the creation of high-quality union jobs in the clean energy economy.

    The next course cohorts in 2026 are January 7, March 4, and June 3. Registration is open for these dates and enrollment is first come, first serve.

    Receive a $300 Solar Training Credit from HeatSpring

    Green Jobs Network is collaborating with HeatSpring to expand access to career education and training opportunities.

    Founded in 2007, HeatSpring is an online education and training platform for careers in clean energy and sustainability. HeatSpring offers more than 300 courses (including more than 150 free courses) and they are a leading provider of clean energy certifications like NABCEP, OSHA, FAA and others.

    The first initiative in this collaboration will focus on supporting job seekers who are interested in careers in the solar industry.

    • To start, you can explore solar career options by enrolling in HeatSpring’s FREE Solar Career Pathways course. You can view a summary of this course in the video above and click here to sign-up for the course.
    • Once you’ve completed the course, send an email to laurejeanne@heatspring.com with the subject line “$300 Training Credit” and you’ll receive a $300 credit toward HeatSpring’s popular Solar Onboarding 101 course!
